You always know when Piper is being shy or has just done something very naughty. She will tell you, "I two."
Milo watching carefully over the flames. He always has to be where the action is whether he's needed or not.
When Piper first woke up this morning, I sang Happy Birthday to her. She got all shy and told me she was two and started talking baby talk. "Ga ga go goo da." When we sang to her at the table, she did the same thing and got all embarrassed at the attention.
Now she can't say that anymore! Because now my little temper-tantrum thrower is three! Although she still can't figure out how to answer when someone asks her name. She usually replies, "I two." When they ask how old she is, she says, "Popper."
Someday she'll get it, right?
We had to do an early morning birthday party to accommodate our busy schedules. Nothing like cupcakes at 9:30am, right? I had a hard time finding this little girl something for her birthday. When Avery and Tucker turned three, it was a no brainer. Avery was obsessed with musical instruments and Tucker of course wanted some trains. But Piper doesn't really like anything besides her doll that she scored from Grandma's. And her pink heart blanket. And the Kindle.
I ended up finding a doll care kit on clearance at Target and threw in a Little Pony in case the doll care kit flopped. She took a liking to the pony and left the doll stuff on the floor. But the boys were quick to take over it and it kept them busy for quite some time. Milo brushed that poor baby's non-existent teeth for hours.

But when that song ended, she popped up and blew out those candles faster than any of my kids have ever done it. She got it all in one breath. We were thoroughly impressed. There was no blowing upwards into the hair or blowing spit or trying with all one's might to blow out one candle. Go Piper!
Then when Grandpa and her aunties called her to sing her happy birthday, she blew into the phone.
