My mornings have been so quiet with Avery gone. She's probably the easiest kid to take care of but my, isn't the house quiet without her. I don't realize how much she jabbers until she's not here.
Tucker has been asking me all morning if he could play the computer. Milo has been snoozing in my bedroom so they haven't been allowed in there for obvious reasons. They've been asking about every fifteen minutes if Milo is awake yet. When they heard him let out a squack, their eyes lit up and they surrounded me as I tried to unload the dishwasher.
"Can I play da computa?" Tucker asked. "Can I? Milo is awake now!"
"Can I?" Piper parroted. "Can I?"
"Nnnnnnnnnnnnnn-Yes!" I said, giggling to myself at my funniness.
"Can I play da computa?" Tucker asked again, obviously confused by my answer.
"Yes!" I exclaimed.
He stared at me.
"Can I?" he asked again.
"I said yes!" I said.
He looked confused.
"Does yes mean yeah?" he asked.
Poor kid.
I hauled Milo out of his pack and play and set him on the ground. He was off and running. Well, crawling, but moving at lightning speed, right towards the stairs. He climbed up the first step, then the second, but then stopped and panicked. He was about to sit down on the step, but didn't calculate his size versus the size of the old, narrow step and just about tumbled backwards. I don't know who is letting him grow up so fast.
I do know that he is my only child who cooperates for pictures when I instruct everyone to turn to me and smile.
And I'm definitely going to show Piper's prospective husband this picture when she first brings him over to meet us. Classic.
